Reality is Setting In

Only 25 days until Josh returns from TBS, 27 days until our baby shower and going away party and 29 days (yes, less then a month) until we say farewell to San Diego and begin our trek across the country to North Carolina! It's been a fabulous 10 years of call SD home and we're sure going to miss this amazing city, sensational weather and friends that are truly family.

I can't believe it's all happening so quickly. I'm trying to treasure every last moment I have here and the time spent with each of my amazing friends, clients, business associates and neighbors. We have so much to be thankful for and will only have fond memories in our new home of this last decade.

Just so sad that we will be celebrating our 30th birthdays and the birth of our first child away from SD and the life that we have created here.

Summer is here!

Feeling so refreshed after a relaxing week! We spent a few days at Warner Springs Ranch golfing and horseback riding. We also visited the local wineries and enjoyed our tastings. A day trip to Julian and of course having pie made the trip well rounded. A day at Torrey Pines beach yesterday made me so thankful that we live in this amazing city! Overall, I feel completely renewed and even more appreciative of where we live.

Back to the grind today, but definitely thankful for being blessed with amazing clients and relatively "easy" transactions as of late. Finished my first semester back at school and did well so overall pleased with myself.

Josh is home for another 6 weeks and we hope to pay Las Vegas a visit before he leaves. Anyone want to join?

2010 So Far

This year has proved to be full of changes. Josh is home for one and will be until July! The longest we've been together so far in our relationship. Speaking of relationship- we just celebrated our 3 year anniversary! We have added to the family, a cat that we call Pierre. Pecas wasn't too fond of the addition at first, but surprisingly he has taken to him quite well. While I'm still actively selling Real Estate, I've also gone back to school. This time at the University of San Diego focusing on politics and peace and justice. I love it, but it's been tough to balance work and having my husband here. Josh is slotted to pick up the next rank, but has also applied for the Warrant Officer Program and will report to school in the fall after returning from Afghanistan. There is so much more, but these are the highlights for now.

Stay Tuned!

A sad day...

Papa Andy passed last night...although it was a long time coming; it's also so sad to see another person leave us. I feel really bad for grandma...she's seen so many people go in her life and I know she'll be lonely now. I'm just hoping that he went in peace. I know he had been in pain for a while.

Not a hangover

So Josh was so hungover after Friday night, but he's still sick!!! Really sick...so it's more than a hangover. It just sucks that his break is being spent in bed. Plus, I was hoping he would do touch ups around the house so we could rent it and buy another place.

It's over!!!

The drill field no more.................and we couldn't be happier. We had a blast at the Shout House tonight with a group of our friends...Josh and a few of his buddies drank alot!!! A man was sitting next to us and bought all of our drinks because he use to be a Marine 30 years ago. Pictures of the night will get posted tomorrow...so much fun though...we got Josh and Zach on stage twice for "head, shoulders, knees and toes" and "I'm too sexy for my shirt"!!!!

Fall 2008

It's official...Josh is done with the Drill Field in the morning...we couldn't be more relieved!!! He'll have 2 weeks off before checking into his new squadron and deploying in January. We hope to make the best of the next couple of weeks and are contemplating purchasing a second home before he leaves. Real Estate is slow right now and I don't think it will pick up until the new year...hopefully 2009 will bring relief to people and the Real Estate market.
